With the yearly happening Sweden Festival the hanseatic city of Wismar casts a spell not only over thousands of visitors from Mecklenburg-Pommerania but also from the whole federal territory of Germany and Sweden.

Wismar remembers since several years each time in august the belonging to the swedish kingdom for centuries with a Sweden Festival. Collectively the inhabitants of Wismar celebrate with the visitors the refund of the city to Mecklenburg after 115 years belonging to Sweden.

Several events will wait for inhabitants and guests of the city.
