opening day (01.03.2008)

10:00 o'clock: the fresh herring is fetched from the old habour by the Hanseatic Cook Assiociation

10:30 o'clock: herring tumbrel, procession of the members of the association from the old habour to the market in accopaniment of the wind ensamble Dorf Mecklenburg.

11:00 o'clock: opening and great herring frying, the cooks fry the fresh herring and sell it on the market

11:30 o'clock: in all participating restaurants in Wismar and around will be several herring meals offered for 14 days.
